Aaby Mose is one of Denmark's largest and best-preserved raised bogs and is part of the best-preserved remnant of the original Store Vildmose.
The raised bog surface has formed from the growth of sphagnum moss over many hundreds of years. In the raised bog, rare and hardy plants such as the beaked sundew, sundew, cotton grass, and cranberries grow. From the observation platform, there is a nice view of the raised bog, and with a bit of luck, you might see a crane on the bog surface. The lower platform is accessible for wheelchair users.
