Ribe is Denmark's oldest town and is located in the middle of the Wadden Sea National Park. In many places in the landscape, you cycle past traces of the Viking Age and sense how people have lived here for centuries under the conditions of nature. The Ribemarsh has shaped the old Viking town for better and for worse, and you can see markings of the storm floods that have ravaged the area.
