Green Tour

Local bike route where we have tried to find the most beautiful local spots around Frederikshavn. The route starts in Bangsbo and goes from the hilly landscape around Øksnebjerg south of Frederikshavn through river valleys and open land to the heathlands west of Jerup. Return along the water at Bratten and Strandby. The route can be done in smaller stages (see stage descriptions). You will find 7 Pitstops along the way, where you can read about the next section of the route. The Green Tour is marked in both directions, but the route descriptions are made for you to ride clockwise. If you get tired along the way, there is a possibility to take the train from Kvissel, Jerup, Rimmen (Nielstrup), and Strandby. Shelters are available both at Jerup beach, Elling Plantation, and at Knivholt.
