Cycling: Tranekær Route

From Tullebølle, the route goes along small roads between fields and through small forests. The first stop is the Tobakslade, which is a tobacco drying barn built in 1944. In the barn, there is a small exhibition about tobacco production in Denmark. In Tvedeskov, there is a 5000-year-old double passage grave, which mostly occurs in West Zealand.

In Botofte, you cycle along Skovmosen with its rich birdlife, where there are daily visits from sea eagles. Now the tour heads towards Tranekær Castle, which towers over the landscape in its characteristic English red color. One of the wings functions as a castle guesthouse.

Visit the castle park, which features Land Art works of international dimensions. From the park, you can continue up to Tranekær Slotsmølle, where there is an exhibition about the history of wind power. The route continues along the count's private alley and through the forests back to Tullebølle.
