Langstrup Path, Fredensborg - Nivå round trip

1. It first follows Kastanievej, south of Fredensborg Station 2. then the bicycle path on the east side of Asminderød and past Fredensborg School Vilhelmsro 3. Knurrenborg Vang is a beautiful and varied forest with many wetlands, clearings, and deciduous trees. 4. Old Skæremølle Bridge - The old watermill (ca. 1100) is gone, but the bridge over the river exists as one of the country’s oldest (ca. 1600). 5. Langstrup village is mentioned in 1364 as Langhstorp 6. Langstrup Mose was an important place in the Bronze Age (ca. 3000 BC), as evidenced by a bog find of a belt plate, one of the finest women's ornaments found in Denmark from that time (See at the National Museum) 7. Jellebro was established under Chr. IV and rebuilt under Chr. VII in 1787 in connection with the construction of the king's road between Hørsholm and Helsingør 8. Nivaagaard Brickworks Ring Oven, built by the German Friedrich Edvard Hoffmann in 1870 9. The route ends at the Bird Tower and the remains of the Old Galehavn in Nivå.
