Cycling: Søby - Ærøskøbing

From Faaborg Harbor, the small but spacious ferry to Søby departs. From the ferry's sun deck, there are magnificent views of Dyreborg, Bjørnø, Lyø, and Avernakø. Food and drink can be purchased at the ferry's cafeteria.

Søby, which is the westernmost town of Ærø, is home to Ærø's fishing fleet. After a kilometer's drive, you reach Sæberiet, where herbal soaps and herbal salts are produced from local herbs. The route continues through a hilly and varied landscape with scenic views over the South Funen Archipelago. A few kilometers before Ærøskøbing, the route takes a detour to Ærø's own brewery, Rise Brewery, which is located in idyllic surroundings in the middle of the island. Here you can book a tour and taste the many different types of beer.

Afterwards, the journey goes to Ærøskøbing, where the harbor and cafes are bustling with life. Take a stroll along the cobblestone streets and enjoy an ice cream or a cup of coffee while waiting for the ferry to Svendborg.
