The Manor Route: Faaborg - Assens (stage)

The stage takes you through Svanninge Bakker and Bjerge, to the queen's viewpoint and to an idyllic fishing spot. The stage is 53 km long and the section between Faaborg and Hårby has several good climbs – including up to Trebjerg, which is Funen's third highest point (128 meters above sea level) and through Svanninge Bakker, which is on a gravel road and across a golf course. If you're not into gravel and climbs, you can take a shortcut via Bjergevej around Svanninge's distinctive yellow church. Between Hårby and Assens, the stage is quite flat. The stage is primarily on asphalted roads. The stage is part of the Herregård Route, which consists of 660 km of the most beautiful kilometers that Funen and the Islands have to offer. You will encounter sights in abundance, beautiful nature, cozy towns, delightful places with wet and dry treats for your palate, and not least historic manors.
