Harridslevgaard route

Take a lovely bike ride along the coast, meadows, and castle environment with this suggestion for a lovely cycling route. You ride past Bogense Marina (1) and up along the Dike (2) and the beautiful view at the coast near Fogense (3), before heading deeper inland past beautiful fields and meadows and small, charming villages. The next stop is Harridslevgaard Castle (4), which welcomes you to take a peek behind the walls as the only manor house in North Funen. Once, the water reached all the way to Harridslevgaard, which according to legend was a pirate stronghold. It is also said that old ghosts still haunt the castle. Harridslevgaard has been gradually renovated over the years and is furnished with exciting antique furniture and many whimsical details. The current main building dates back to 1606. You also enter the village of Harridslev (5), which is a very typical example of a village that grew up with the castle’s workers. On the way back to Bogense, you cycle along good bike paths through idyllic Fredskov (6) and the golf course. You also pass through Bogense's signature street, Adelgade (7), where you can find colorful half-timbered houses, cobblestone details, and a cozy, laid-back atmosphere.
