Gyldensteen route

The Gyldensteen route gives you good exercise along a beautiful and very varied nature. Starting from Bogense (1), you set your course towards Stegø Mølle (2), which is an old pump mill. Unfortunately, the mill is not open to the public as it is privately owned, but it is a fine sight from the road. Continue towards Gyldensteen Strand (3), which is Funen's largest nature restoration project and a lovely natural area with lagoons. Gyldensteen Strand was once a coastal area that was reclaimed for agriculture. Now the dikes are gone, and the coastal nature has been restored, and you may be lucky enough to spot a rich bird and wildlife with visitors like seals and sea eagles. Here you can also enjoy your packed lunch, as there are tables and benches in the Nature room. The next stop is the small, old fishing village of Jersore (4), the manor Sandagergård (5), and the church in Guldbjerg (6). On the way back to Bogense, you cycle along the old town with the former industrial area and the old houses.
