Tørringbanen 7th stage - approx. 17 km

This cycling route is one of 9 stages that follows the track of the Tørring Line and the branch line Rask Mølle-Hjortsvang as closely as possible. The route mostly takes paved roads but also comes into contact with gravel roads and paths from time to time.
The cycling routes are designed as round trips, partly following the railway and partly venturing into the landscape to interesting places with stories about people and life during the railway era.

Parking in Ølholm. We follow Bygaden out to the path under Vestvejen. The bike path follows the old railway track.

“New Tørring” was the terminus for the railway until 1929.
Tørring Station was located where the supermarket stands now, and all the houses around here were built because of the railway.

The tour goes over the Gudenå River to Gl. Tørring and further out to Egholm Mølle.

After that, back to Tørring and down past Hvolgaard and Langskov Church on the way back to Ølholm.
