The Ancient Route - Nature Land's Experience Routes

The cycling route passes through the lovely flat landscape east of Nysted, along Lolland's south and east coast, where there is a fantastic view over the Baltic Sea and Guldborg Sund. In addition, the cycling route also goes through a number of small idyllic villages and two larger forests.

The tour goes through a fenced area in Roden Skov, where there are many fallow deer, including a small population of completely white fallow deer. Look for the sea eagles when you reach the beach meadows in front of the forest; the eagles often hunt along the coast here.

The route passes over 150 ancient monuments. Most are hidden in Frejlev Skov, where it is recommended to visit those that are easily accessible and marked. On the route, there is also Knækkerygstenen, where a cruel riding master allegedly lost his life, and Skalkekorset, which is part of the same story.
