Cycling: Søren Lolk route

Søren Lolk was an idealist and a fire soul, who in many areas was ahead of his time and who did not conform to society's norms. On Søren Lolkvej, you pass by two private houses that he had built, namely Lille Vejlegården no. 18 and Danmarkshuset no. 16.

At Søren Lolksvej 2 today lies the farm Skiftekær, where the largest straw house in Denmark has been built in organic shapes and works with ecological production, especially of potatoes. On the route are two good birdwatching spots: Vejlerne and Monnet.

Søren Lolk (1876–1933) had many ideas, for example, to eat vegetarian food, practice nudism while working the fields, preserve ancient monuments, not hit his children, free-range among his livestock, and preserve the old peasant culture. Many things that are more natural today but were absolutely not so at that time.
