Cycling: The Manor Route

From Faaborg, the journey heads to the small idyllic coastal village of Dyreborg. Here, there is a view of the Funen Archipelago and a good child-friendly beach at Knolden with the small fishing houses.

From here, the route goes north to Hvedeholm Castle, where there is a restaurant, shop, and hotel. In Horne Town, you can visit Funen's only round church. The round church was built in the 12th century, somewhat later than the round churches in Bornholm. The lower part of the round church has been used for ecclesiastical purposes, while the upper part has been used for defense.

From here, the journey continues north to Steensgaard, which operates organically with a slaughterhouse, farm shop, and dining. On the way back, you will pass through the town of Svanninge. At Brahesvej 14, there is a path leading into the Svanninge hills. Take a walk up into the "South Funen Alps" and enjoy the view before the trip returns to Faaborg.
