At the end of the last Ice Age, around 20,000 years ago, the ice moved back and forth in the area of Ravnsby Bakker, creating some large hills and valleys. It also resulted in large ice blocks forming underground, which melted slower than the remaining ice. These ice blocks are called 'dead ice', and when they finally melted away completely, they had created large deep holes in Ravnsby Bakker.
The bike route starts in the beautiful harbor town of Kragenæs, which connects Lolland with Fejø and Femø via ferry. From here, the journey goes up past Dodekalitten, a spectacular world-class monument that is still under construction. Also enjoy the magnificent view over the Smålandsfarvandet.
