Tystrup Bavelse Nature Park
The most beautiful landscapes in Midtsjælland are found around the Tystrup-Bavelse lakes. The area is of such rare beauty that it was partially protected from 1960-65 with the aim of making it Denmark’s first nature park.
The landscape around the Tystrup-Bavelse Lakes consists of a manorial landscape with large forest and agricultural areas. The southern and eastern parts of the area are traversed by the Suså River.
Both the lakes and the river are actively used for canoeing and recreational fishing. At Tystrup Lake, visitors can experience a breeding pair of sea eagles since 2003.
