Tørringbanen stage 1 - approx. 17 km

This bike route is one of 9 stages that follows the track of the Tørring Line and the branch line Rask Mølle-Hjortsvang as closely as possible. The route mainly uses paved roads, but also occasionally comes into contact with gravel roads and paths.

The bike routes are designed as round trips that both follow the railway and venture into the landscape to interesting places with stories about people and life during the railway's time.

The stage starts at Dagli’Brugsen on Silkeborgvej in Lund. Here, where the grocery store now has a parking lot, was once Lund Station. The route follows Kørupvej closely along the railway's path to the small Kørup Station, south of Tamdrup Bisgård. After that, it goes along winding roads and paths to Horsens along the southern side of Bygholm Lake. From "platform Bygholm," the route follows the railway for most of the trip back to Lund with views over Hansted Ådal.
