Queen Dagmar's Spring South of the village of Vitten leads a path from Klapskovvejen down to Queen Dagmar's Spring in Præsteskoven. An old legend tells that Valdemar the Victorious's Queen Dagmar, during a journey from Skanderborg, stopped at the spring and quenched her thirst. Queen Dagmar died in 1212 and was buried in Valdemar's church in Ringsted. The tall memorial stone with the Dagmar Cross was donated by councilor Thor Lange in 1906. History books tell us that the Cistercian monks at Vivild Cloister near Hadsten fetched water from the spring for holy water and healing purposes, and all the way up to the turn of the century, water was drawn from the spring for baptismal rites at Vitten Church. You can still drink from the pure spring water today.

The Linen means "the straight road" and is the longest, almost straight forest road in Denmark. The Linen starts from the main staircase at Frijsenborg Castle and ends 12.5 kilometers further east at Bølvadsvej in Hinnerup. The Linen was established in 1863 by the then president of the council.
