With a length of 158 km, the Gudenå is Denmark's longest watercourse. In the last stretch before it empties into Randers Fjord, where the Gudenå resembles a small river, it flows through a very wide river valley with an exciting and experience-rich landscape. It is this last stretch from Langå to Randers that is the focus of this trip, as on the outbound journey, one travels along the north and west sides of the river, while the return journey takes place along the river's south and east sides.
