Bicycle route 41: Kerteminde - Korshavn

From Kerteminde, the route leads towards the manor Hverringe. The three-winged Baroque castle dates back to 1790 and is surrounded by moats. It is a beautiful landscape with stone walls, trimmed poplar hedges, and solitary trees in the fields, which along the coast transitions into salt marshes and meadows.



In the village of Måle, one can find an unspoiled village structure and many well-preserved half-timbered houses and farms. Take your time for a short detour to the old restored windmill in Viby. Like so many other windmills, it is beautifully situated in the landscape, with a good view from there. From here, the route goes to Bøgebjerg Strand, where one can admire an overgrown landscape called Bjørnens Krat. There is an information board in the area. The coastline is followed by a smaller wooded area, where springtime may reveal migrations of, among others, birds of prey.



For cyclists, the trip from Martofte to Fyns Hoved is unfortunately not always very pleasant. There can be quite heavy car traffic, both oncoming and departing, on this the only road to and from Fyns Hoved. Assess accordingly.
