Enjoy the view and take a bike ride around the lake. Lading Lake is about 47 hectares, and it is very shallow – only 1.5 meters at its deepest point. It was previously clear water, but since the mid-20th century, the lake has had many algae due to previous pollution from Lading Town. In recent years, however, underwater plants have started to spread in the lake again.

At Lading Church, there is a good view of the lake. Among other things, there is a path through Skivholme Forest in the northeastern part of the area. However, the area is best suited for a bike ride of about 7 km around the lake.

First and foremost, Lading Lake is known for its birds: great crested grebe, coot, shovelers, woodcock, greylag goose, as well as marsh harrier, and in the summer, you can hear nightingales and perhaps water rails (which sound like a pig squealing) as well as bitterns (which sound like blowing into an empty bottle). In the winter period, there are among others, wigeon and whistle and whooper swans. And there are also otters in the area.
