At Pikkerbakken, a new MTB trail has been established with a fantastic location. The route starts at Møllehuset in Bangsbo and steadily goes upward – for a long way! The reward is a new viewing platform at the top of Pikkerbakken. Here, you have a view of Frederikshavn, Hirsholmene, Læsø, and the entire Ålbæk Bay to Skagen. The descent goes through a long series of hairpin turns in the best mountain style. No dangerous drops along the way – just a lot of turns. The surface is mostly gravel or stone. Red (medium difficulty) sections will be made, but always with an easy escape route. Be aware of trail work on the path.
