Blokhus Dune Plantation - MTB route

Naturstyrelsen Vendsyssel, in cooperation with the local MTB enthusiasts, has established a approximately 10 km long MTB trail in the northern part of the plantation. The trail alternates between riding on gravel roads, terrain riding on sandy underfoot and winding stretches among the trees. The difficulty level is easy (blue). Note that the route is predominantly on forest floor and that there is no riding on gravel, wood chips, etc. in sandy and muddy holes. The nature of the trail changes with the seasons and the weather. In addition to riding on the mountain bike trail, you can cycle on all forest roads, but you must not cycle on the forest floor or up or down the dunes. Remember that it is also permitted to walk anywhere in the plantation, so you may unexpectedly encounter people where you do not expect it.
Starting and finishing usually occurs from the parking lot at Gateway Blokhus by Aalborgvej. The route is marked with red poles displaying Naturstyrelsen's pictogram for mountain biking. Traffic on the route is at your own risk, and there may be unforeseen obstacles.
