Slotved Forest MTB Route

In Slotved Dyrehave, all forms of cycling outside of the asphalt roads are unwanted due to the disturbance of the animals. To provide opportunities for mountain biking, the Nature Agency has made an area just outside the deer park available for a mountain bike route and has also placed the deer park fence on the northern edge of the park far enough from the boundary to allow for the creation of a mountain bike trail to the north of the deer park. CCH - the cycling club in Hjørring - has put in a tremendous effort to establish the blue 5 km trail with a few red loops on the area and a longer black loop as well as a children's skills course. The black loop - the Badger Trail - is listed in UdiNaturen as a separate trail and cycling on the Badger Trail is NOT allowed in the dark/with lights. Gravel has been laid all the way around as the soil is clayey.

If you arrive by car, please park in the gravel parking lot on the left side of Vejborgvej - you will be right by the start of the trail. If that gravel parking lot is full, park by the service buildings on the right side (Vejborgvej 6). Do not park on the roadside of Vejborgvej as the road is narrow and used for wide machinery from the machinery station.
