MTB route in Skagen Klitplantage

A approximately 10 km long mountain biking trail welcomes mountain bikers in the eastern part of the plantation. The difficulty level is easy (blue). The track alternates between riding on gravel roads, terrain riding on sandy ground, and winding stretches between the trees. The tour starts at Skagen OK and Motion clubhouse at Gl. Landevej 47 or at the parking lot by the Buried Church and is marked with red poles featuring the Nature Agency's mountain bike pictogram.

It is Skagen OK and Motion, in collaboration with the Nature Agency Vendsyssel, that has established the trail. In addition to the mountain bike trail, you are allowed to cycle on all forest roads, but you must not cycle on the forest floor or up or down the dunes. Remember also that it is permitted to walk everywhere in the plantation, and therefore you may suddenly encounter people where you least expect it. It is important to be considerate:

• Avoid riding on the marked hiking trails.

• Slow down when passing other forest visitors and ensure they have noticed you.
