The area where the forest is located has also not been plowed in modern times. In addition, fallen and broken trees are the basis for an unusually rich and rare fungal flora. The fungi are particularly associated with the forest's dominant tree species, the Aspen. The forest was protected in 2012 and is therefore assured of continued undisturbed development. The area is rich in ancient relics, both visible and hidden, and the protection also safeguards the hidden relics from destruction. The trail is not suitable for wheelchairs and those with walking difficulties. Access rules for privately owned forests apply in the forest. The area may be closed in connection with hunting. There will be signage, if applicable, at the access road to the forest.
