Ajstrup Bay is a protected area, rich in nature and ancient landmarks such as old deep sunken roads and steep slopes down to flat coastal areas, which are raised seabed from the Stone Age sea. The route at Ajstrup Bay is marked with red triangles.
Starting point: There is free parking without time restrictions at Ajstrup Bay parking lot, Ajstrupvej, 9560 Hadsund. The nearest public transport connection is the bus stop for bus line 237 on Norupvej/Landevejen, 1.8 km from the starting point.
Marking: The hiking trail Ajstrup Bay is marked with red triangles both clockwise and counter-clockwise.
Experiences: The forests by Ajstrup Bay have been used for grazing and gathering for centuries and contain exciting plants and a rich birdlife. There is a view of Ajstrup Bay, where light-bellied brent geese winter alongside many other migratory birds.
