The quota route in Kastbjerg Ådal (1.6 km round trip)

The Kvottrup Path is one of the most beautiful hiking trails in the Kastbjerg valley, offering great views of the valley's rolling landscapes. The Kvottrup Path is marked with green triangles.

Starting point: The nearest parking lot is at Kvottrupgård, Hemvej 5, 9550 Mariager where there is free parking without time limits. It is 300 meters each way from the parking lot to where the actual 1 km loop starts - a total of 1.6 km.

Experiences: The Kvottrup Path follows an old mill road that runs right past the point where the watermill Kvottrup Nymølle once stood. The steep and sloping terrain on the Kvottrup Path is worth all the effort, as it offers the most beautiful views over the valley and the countless springs that flow from the slopes. You can advantageously extend the Kvottrup Path with the Ulvholm Path. The trail connection between the Kvottrup Path and the Ulvholm Path is 1.1 km each way, and the loop on the Ulvholm Path is 3 km, making your total trip 5.2 km longer. The trail connection is marked with green triangles and the Ulvholm Path with red triangles.

Note: The Kvottrup Path passes through a fenced grass area, which is the summer residence of the sheep. It is important to keep a distance and always have your dog on a leash. The trails are often flooded, so hiking or rubber boots are recommended.
