Poulstrup Yellow Hiking Route

The Poulstrup hiking route is approximately 6 km long and runs through a beautiful, hilly, and protected natural area with lakes, bogs, forests, shrubs, chalk pits, and meadows. The many different types of nature in the area provide a rich and varied plant and animal life. Here you can see, among other things, the common buzzard, the tawny owl, the green woodpecker, and a wide variety of small birds. Many different aquatic insects thrive in the lakes and waterholes, and at Poulstrup Lake and Mågesøen, there is also nocturnal hunting ground for water bats. Along the hiking route, there are several installed table/bench sets, and fishing is also permitted at Poulstrup Lake.
