Fejborg Hill Green

This path is located in an area that was designated as protected in 1970. The entire natural area of Fejborg Bakke, Grevsmosen, Bollebakken, and Slettingen covers approximately 70 hectares, and there is public access on foot along the marked trails. The landscape is very hilly and varied. It is described as a mosaic of forests, fields, wetlands, small lakes, meadows, and heath-covered hills. The mosaic has arisen from an interplay between the natural conditions that were created back in the Ice Age. Between Grevsmosen and Slettingen, there are heath hills that historical robbers and highwaymen used as hideouts, and many of the old sunken roads are still well-preserved. In the area, you can still find remnants of the earth caves where the robbers resided. The area holds many cultural-historical traces and hidden treasures. For example, explore the long barrow at Fejborg Bakke, which dates back to the Stone Age. From here and several other places in the area, there are beautiful views over the Jutland Ridge and large parts of Vendsyssel. There are camp and shelter facilities in several places in the area, such as Lunken, Slettingen, and Stenbakken.
