Glenstrup Lake

Glenstrup Lake has beautiful nature and a rich birdlife. In the area, there are several sacred springs that earlier pilgrims used to visit.

Starting point: There is free parking without time limits at Glenstrup Church, Glenstrup Søvej 34, 8990 Fårup. There is public transport to Handest and the possibility of a Plus tour from there to Glenstrup Lake – check Rejseplanen.

Experiences: From Glenstrup Church, it is just over a kilometer to the edge of Glenstrup Lake with fine views along the way. Glenstrup Lake is North Jutland's third largest lake and is a full 31 meters deep. In the area, there are several sacred springs that earlier pilgrims used to visit. Interpretation signs along the way tell about the area's exciting history and nature. The cozy resting places have tables and benches, a fire pit, and a grill. Glenstrup Lake is a beautiful place to enjoy the sunset.
