Mastrup Ådal is located near the town of Støvring. In the protected part of the valley, which is here south of Nibevej, the landscape is not designed as an urban park, but contains a more untouched variety of nature types in the hilly terrain. Meadows and pastures around Mastrup Bæk are tended by sheep, which graze down to the stream and ensure that the brook's winding, unregulated course is clearly visible all year round. The stream is so clear that in November and December it is possible to be lucky enough to see sea trout spawning in the brook's gravel bed. The majority of the path runs on a grassy trail through a sheep enclosure, which can be muddy in wet weather. The brook is crossed via an old plank bridge. The route is unsuitable for those with walking difficulties.
