Starting from Skagen Health Centre (Lunds Alle), the Heart Path begins in Byfogedskoven. It is marked with distance every 100 meters and there is an option to shorten it from 1 km to 500 meters. There are resting benches along the way. It is also possible to extend the route by choosing other paths in the small forest. See the detail map.
The forest is also a dog forest and several people with walking difficulties come with electric scooters and their dogs. The forest is fenced, but all openings are open and without gates, so it is easy to get in and out.
You can access the path from several places, not just at the Health Centre. The narrowest point is from Sct. Laurentiivej, where there is about 90 cm of space around the barrier. The other openings in the fence are 100 cm. DO NOT park at Krøyers Hus (Sct. Laurentiivej 148-152) as there is loose gravel on the parking lot and in the driveway!
