The marked route is approximately 5½ km long. There are benches along the way for a rest, where the view or the silence can be enjoyed. As the trail goes through enclosures with animals, you cannot bring your dog.
The manor Gammel Estrup was owned by the Brock and Scheel families from 1340 to 1926. The noble families had great wealth and were among the largest landowners in Denmark. Now, the museums ensure Gl. Estrup's history, both in terms of noble life and agricultural operations.
