The route from Hem Odde

The trail, marked with yellow pictograms, is just under 1 km long - and if you need to return to the parking lot, you will end up walking about 2 km. Hem Odde was shortly after World War II a place where many developed an interest in motorcycle racing. A racetrack was established here, which attracted many spectators in the post-war years. It is still possible to discern the outlines of the track in the terrain if you look closely. The background for the track was the establishment of a bath hotel in the 1930s. A man from Dørup returned from some years in America and wanted to benefit the local community and built the bath hotel. The hotel is now private residence. There is parking available at Langkjær. There is access to a primitive toilet at Hem Odde Beach - and there is access to drinking water at the same place.
