Horreby Lyng

5 km hiking trail partially on boardwalk. In addition, there are 4 routes between 3 and 4.5 km in Horreby Lyng. There is also a trail through the landscape to the area.

In the eastern part of the bog, you pass through an area that shows how peat extraction has completely drained the bog. Today, that area is overgrown with bushes and deciduous trees.

In the central and western parts, you can still find areas with raised bog. A approximately 300 m long boardwalk has been established in the western part of the bog, where you can still experience the raised bog up close.

This is a private bog, and the many landowners welcome you to their bog with all its wonders. Respect their hospitality. The fact that the bog is private means that there is only public access from 06:00 to sunset – and only on the marked paths and roads.
