The walk along Fredericia's southern coast truly offers great nature and cultural experiences.
On the route, you pass the remains of Hakenør Castle Mound, which was a royal castle from the mid-1300s, facing Hindsgavl Castle in Funen.
On the beach in front of Hakenør Castle Mound, you might be lucky enough to find flint tools from the Stone Age.
In the water, marine archaeologists have recorded several large oak trunks that lie toppled down the prehistoric coastal slope.
The area is protected with public access.
