Follow the Line from Hinnerup Station to Frijsenborg and continue north of Hammel and through Gjern Ådalen.

The Line means "the straight road" and is the longest, almost straight forest road in Denmark. The Line starts from the main staircase at Frijsenborg Castle and ends 12.5 kilometers further east at Bølvadsvej in Hinnerup.
The Line was established in 1863 by the then Council President, Count Christian Emil Kragh Juel-Vind-Frijs of Frijsenborg. He was responsible for the new railway constructions and got a station placed in Hinnerup.
As Council President, the Count needed a quick connection to Copenhagen. Since none of the municipalities whose areas the road passed through wanted to contribute to the construction of the Line, it became a private road.
