"The marked route is approximately 2 km long. The numbers on the map refer to the description below. The trail starts at the old railway bridge where the Himmerlands trail crosses Hvam Bæk. The trip follows the southern side of the brook to the west, along the edge of the gorge, next to the field boundaries until Gl. Hvam. The area was formed when the ice retreated more than 10,000 years ago, giving the landscape a magnificent beauty. On the first small part of the trip, the trail runs on DLG's land, then over an unkempt meadow, along field boundaries, and finally, it follows a short stretch of an old church path in Gl. Hvam to the church."
