Skudestien

The Skudestien starts like the other trails at Tornby Brugs. From here, you walk through the town for the first kilometer. The path is marked with green arrows – some with the trail name. Follow these and the first sight you will encounter is Tornbydyssen – the northernmost in Denmark. Immediately after, you will reach Tornby Gamle Købmandsgård. It is definitely worth a visit. You can buy coffee and delicious pretzels, just as the store has a good selection of goods. A good piece of advice is to skip the visit at first and set it as a reward for the end. You can find information about opening hours on their website. Continuing on the journey, you will pass Russerbakken, a location with an interesting history. Read about this on the posted information board. Further along the path, you will meet one of the many famous stones in Tornby Klitplantage. This is the Yksenbæk stone – there is also an information board here. You are now on the final stretch before the turning point, which is out by Strandvejen. Here you will find Muncks bath hotel, restaurant, and grocery store. Likewise, the old skiff, which bears witness to the trade with Norway back in the 1800s. Take a break before heading back through the beautiful hilly foreland, up through the dune plantation, and soon you will reach the city limits, thus catching a glimpse of the destination.
