Jens Jessen sand is a larger parabolic dune from which there is a good view of both the Wadden Sea and the North Sea.
The dune is a good symbol of the sand drift that in the middle of the 1800s led to the establishment of a number of dune plantations along the Jutland west coast by the state. The Ho plantation was the last of the plantations established between the 1920s and the 1940s.
The southern edge of the plantation towards Skallingen constituted the coastline to the North Sea in the 1600s.
