Kragelund North

In the old courtyard, one can peek into the Hærvejs inn for the many hikers during the summer months. The route continues through a newer residential area called Kragelund's Beverly Hills, past a small lake. Thereafter, a field path is followed north past some farms and back towards Kragelund also via field path (Sinding Hedevej). Back in Kragelund, the route passes Kongelunden, where from ancient times the King's hunting lodge has served as accommodation during stays in Jutland. Follow the old sunken road to the large hawthorn that marks the spot where the building's stones were torn down and moved to Silkeborg in 1583. No other visible traces remain. However, there is a larger clearing for picnics and activities. The route then runs along the road back to the church, where Helledammen constitutes the town's small park from 1927, created collaboratively by the citizens.
