Start at Ulvshale Nature Area. Cross the road and enter the forest.

The forest here is different from other Danish forests. The trees grow slowly because the soil is so poor. The forest floor mostly consists of flint stones, which are interspersed with old beach ridges.

In the forest, there are many different trees. Go hunting for oak, beech, lime, hornbeam, sugar maple, dogwood, and the rare red currant tree. The forest is kept untouched, benefiting a large biodiversity with many fungi, insects, and birds.
