The bank path between Allingåbro and Ryomgård

General
The bike path between Allingåbro and Ryomgård is about 14 km long, and along it you will be taken through Auning and Pindstrup.

In Allingåbro, you can continue towards Kristrup along the old railway line on rail bicycles with Djursland For Fuld Damp.

In Ryomgård, you can continue along the Gjerrild Railway Path.

History
The old railway line between Randers and Ryomgård was in operation from 1876 to 1971 – and to Pindstrup all the way until 1993. The towns of Allingåbro and Ryomgård arose as a result of the operation of the railway line.

On the route
On your way along the path, you can take small detours. Near Allingåbro is Vejlby Church, where some of stonecarver Horder's finest works can be found, among them the beautiful entrance portal. Horder lived in the 12th century and is called the Djursland Master, as he has left several exquisite stone-carving works around Djursland.

In Auning, there is an opportunity to stock up, have a cup of coffee or fine
