Neckelmann Plantation is 79 ha, and there is twice as much coniferous as broadleaf. The forest was severely affected by the storm in 1981, and the entire northern part of the plantation was replanted with conifers. The southern part of the forest is more varied, and the terrain is characterized by the prominent "Nordmann Valley," which runs through the area.
