Neckelmann Plantation covers 79 hectares, with twice as much coniferous as broadleaf. The forest was severely affected by the storm in 1981, and the entire northern part of the plantation was replanted with coniferous trees. The southern part of the forest is more varied, and the terrain is characterized by the prominent "Nordmann Valley," which runs through the area.
