Valsgård Stream Trail (6 km loop)

Valsgård Stream and Kirkedalsbæk Stream wind their way through the beautiful and hilly landscapes on the north side of Mariager Fjord. The Valsgård Stream Trail follows part of the route of the Panorama Route and is marked with blue triangles.

Starting point: There is free parking with no time limit at the golf club on Torndalsvej 3, 9500 Hobro and near Hjerritsdalvej 1, 9500 Hobro (do not park by the house, but look for the official P-sign). By public transport, the nearest connection is Bus 2.

Experiences: The Valsgård Stream Trail follows nature paths and wooden walkways through the protected landscapes, where you can hear the stream babbling. Rare plants such as orchids and the carnivorous butterwort grow on the slopes and in the meadows. The kingfisher and the meadow pipit are attracted by the stream's clean, babbling water, which has been used to mill grain at Hjerritsdal Mill.
