The forest trip

"The forest walk" goes through the area of Dyrehaven that each year in August serves as the backdrop for the Skanderborg Festival.

On the walk, you pass by the Bøgescenen, one of Denmark's perhaps most famous music stages. You can experience the large old beech trees in the ancient beech forest and see the many new and younger beech trees that are on their way.

In several places along the walk, you'll pass the disc golf course in Dyrehaven - and in several spots, you'll be able to see curiosities related to the Skanderborg Festival.

The terrain is relatively flat and the paths are gravel-covered - making the walk suitable for strollers, wheelchairs, and those with mobility difficulties.

"The forest walk" is marked with light green pictograms. On a small section, there is a shared route with the "Dyrehave route," which is marked with yellow pictograms.

A good starting point for the walk is the parking lot at Capri.

The route is closed off every year at the end of July and the beginning of August for a few weeks in connection with the Skanderborg Festival.
