There is access to the fortress through gates in the fence. Sheep roam freely in the area.
There are several parking spaces in the area, for example directly connected to Magelund Fortress or along the roadside by the former watermill. The hiking route takes you through the entire forest around Lykkesholm and Magelund Fortress.
