Clover path blue in Lønstrup

The Blue Clover Path is part of the Clover Paths, which consists of four hiking routes, all starting and stopping from Lønstrup Tourist Office.

On the 5-kilometer route, you will walk through varied terrain and will briefly walk parallel to the Red Clover Path. The stretch is dominated by sand or natural paths, so it is recommended to wear sensible footwear. Along the route, you can see and experience the forces of nature from the wind and the North Sea hitting the coastal protection, which was established after a severe storm in 1981.

You will also walk near Lien on the route. In the Stone Age, it was a cliff that later became a slope with the natural habitat of grasslands, which is protected and has many rare plants as well as common plants like sea buckthorn. Along this stretch, you will also walk along Hunderup Stream, where many small birds such as the common whitethroat breed. This part of the route is marked to alert you that grazing livestock are present. If you have a dog with you, it must be on a leash - both to show consideration for the livestock as well as for the wildlife and birds.
