Falsters Heart West - Red route

Welcome to the trail in the Heart of Falster, which has been established in collaboration with the 8th grade at Møllebakkeskolen. Møllebakkeskolen, located in the southern part of Horreby, was opened in 1960 as a central school for large parts of East Falster. The area is commonly referred to as the Heart of Falster. Through several changes in school structure, first in Stubbekøbing and then in Guldborgsund Municipality, the school is now a rural school with about 190 students in all grades from 0 to 9. The school serves as a natural gathering point for the local area and is used for many activities outside school hours. In the Heart of Falster, we believe that community and co-ownership are important values for people who choose to live in the countryside. Therefore, associations, businesses, and citizens from the villages located in the Heart of Falster, along with Guldborgsund Municipality, have come together to develop and create space for a good life in the countryside. We do this to create good conditions for children and settlement, as well as to expand awareness of our lovely nature. The trail consists of a yellow and a red route with 3 starting points. The yellow route connects Virkethus and Horreby Lyng (5 km). The red route is a round trip from Møllebakkeskolen to Horreby Lyng and back (about 5.5 km).
